Inroduction of Balangon Banana

Partner-Panay was organized by small groups of people for the purpose of helping small growers who plant balangon banana. At start Partner-Panay provides "saha" for the grower and give them the technology on how to plant and care for bananas. There is a Memo of agreement to that effect that the products must be sold to Partner-Panay only. Later on to teach them to self sufficient they were required to buy "saha" for their own expansion.
With the help of Alter Trade Corporation a non-government organization, they are the one who facilitate the marketing of balangon banana to Japan. This happened when the sugar industry in Negros collapsed and a Japanese Cooperative visited Negros to help farmers to recover. That was the reason of how banana balangon come to existence.
